John Deere Z925A

Review

The John Deere Z925A Zero Turn Mower is another step up from the John Deere Z910A and John Deere Z920A mowers, which are also part of John Deere’s Pro 900 Series. The JD Z925A has 2 types of cutting decks. The former has a 54-inch width of cut, while the latter has a greater 60-inch width of cut. Both mower decks are very strong, being made from stamped 7 gauge which makes the chance of them breaking, bending, skewing or cracking quite unlikely. Both covers can be raised and lowered from a height of 5 inches to a height of 1. 5 inches above the ground. The 54-inch deck has the added benefit of being able to mulch on demand.

The maximum weight of the John Deere Z925A is 671. 3 kg (1, 408 lbs), although this is with the 60-inch bed attached. At the front of each deck there are 4 wheels that prevent the deck or blades from touching the ground. The engine that drives the mower blades is a gasoline Kawasaki. This engine is air cooled and features a pressure lubrication system to keep the engine running smoothly. This lubrication system also has an oil filter that is replaceable. The total power of the Kawasaki is 27 hp. The engine has a total displacement of 0. 852 liters. The motor is started by a 12-volt battery that supplies 300 cold cranking amps. The battery is then recharged by a 20 amp alternator.

The engine transfers power to the wheels of the John Deere Z925A through a Kanzaki dual hydrostatic transmission. This transmission system allows the operator of the JD Z925A to control how much power each rear wheel receives independently.
