The John Deere 5083EN tractor is the smallest model in the 5EN Narrow series offered by JD. The tractor was built to be able to pull large loads, as well as accommodate a wide variety of attachments and implements, while being narrow enough to easily fit into narrow rows of trees or plants in an orchard or vineyard, or even in anursery. The engine that powers the JD 5083EN is a 4. 5 liter PowerTech diesel engine. This engine provides 83 HP of power (which you may have already guessed from the name).
There is a choice of 2 different transmissions on this machine. You can choose the gearbox that comes standard with the tractor, which is a PowrReverser that gives the John Deere 5083EN 12 gears in both forward and reverse. If this transmission doesn’t convince you, you can opt for an enlarged PowrReverser gearbox. This optional gearbox has 24 forward and 24 reverse gears. All gear changes are done with a wet clutch.
The John Deere 5083EN is very similar to the John Deere 5083E tractor in many ways. If you are looking for a larger model than this one that is in the narrow 5EN series, you should take a look at the John Deere 5093EN or the John Deere 5101EN tractors. The open center hydraulic system on this model operates a category 1 or 2 3 point hitch. This gives it maximum safe lifting capacity. This gives it a maximum safe lifting capacity of 1, 530 kg. You can choose between an open operator station or a cab. Both have a ROPS, but the cab model obviously weighs a bit more. There is also the chassis option for this model, either 2WD or MFWD.
