John Deere LT155

Review

The John Deere LT155 mower is one of the LT series of mowers that JD produced in the late 1990s and early 00s. It gets its power from a naturally aspirated, air-cooled Kohler Command engine. This gasoline engine has one cylinder and produces a power of 15 CV. To completely fill it with engine oil from empty, it is necessary to add 1. 8 liters of oil. Power from this Kohler engine is delivered to the wheels via a Tuff Torq hydrostatic transmission, giving you unlimited speeds in both forward and reverse. Speed and direction are controlled by Twin Touch pedals (John Deere’s trademark system).

If you’re looking for a larger model than the John Deere LT155, then you might be interested in taking a look at the John Deere LT166 lawn mower. However, if something smaller and less powerful is what you need for your yard, the John Deere LT133 ride-on mower might interest you. Instead of using a steel hood, as seen on many of the older John Deere mower models, the JD LT155 uses a hood made of Xenoy. It is a plastic-like material that does not corrode or dent or break easily.

To cut grass, the John Deere LT155 has a choice of mower decks. You can go with a smaller 38 inch deck or if you want something larger then you may like to use a 42 inch deck. The total weight of the JD LT155 is 213 kg (470 lbs) with a full tank and mower deck mounted. However, when it comes off the production line it only weighs 175 kg. This machine has a fairly small turning radius, only 0. 4 m (15 inches).
