John Deere LA150

Review

The John Deere LA150 mower was manufactured for just one year in 2007 by JD at their Horicon Wisconsin plant. Part of their 2007 “100” series. The JD LA150 is a fairly large tractor. It’s been constructed from high-strength, robotically welded 12-gauge steel, which means it’s highly durable and virtually guaranteed to last a long time. The mower deck on this mower has a large cutting width of 54 inches, although due to the discharge chute on the side of the mower deck, it gives the mower an overall width of 1. 73 m (68. 5 inches). Without attachments, the length of the mower is 1. 75 m (69 inches). The wheelbase is 1. 24m, which means the mower is very stable even on fairly steep slopes. The front wheels of the John Deere LA150 measure 16×6. 5-8 (16-inch diameter, 6. 5-inch width, 8-inch rim diameter), while the rear wheels measure 22×9. 5-12 (22-inch diameter, 9. 5-inch width, 12-inch rim diameter).

The JD LA150 gets its power from a large Briggs and Stratton gasoline engine. This 2-cylinder V-twin has a displacement of 0. 7 liters and produces 26 PS. A paper and foam element air filter cleans the air intake. To keep the engine fully lubricated, you need to make sure you keep the engine with 1. 9 liters of oil. The mower is automatic with cruise control thanks to its hydrostatic transmission. This makes handling incredibly easy.

Although the John Deere LA150 is obviously primarily used as a lawn mower, it is also capable of a whole host of other tasks thanks to its CargO Mount accessory system. You can add carts, front blades and even John Deere snow throwers, making it a true all-rounder. If you’re looking for something a bit smaller and probably more durable, then you may be interested in the John Deere LA100 mower.
