The Snapper ZT18533 Zero Turn Mower is the smaller of the 2 models in the Snapper 150Z series. The engine in the ZT 18533 is a Briggs and Stratton Intek OHV model. This engine has a single cylinder that provides a power of 18. 5 CV. The 12 volt battery that starts the engine is recharged by an alternator once the engine is running. The Hydro-Gear EZT dual hydrostatic transmission allows the operator to use the lap bars to control each rear wheel independently of the other. By controlling each rear wheel independently of the other, you can execute zero radius turns.
The Snapper ZT18533 has a mower deck with a 33-inch width of cut. This mower deck consists of a single blade that can be raised and lowered from 1. 5 inches above the ground to 3. 75 inches above the ground. The mower deck is raised and lowered electrically, which means you have an infinite number of cutting heights. You will notice on the mower deck that there are anti-scalping wheels on the leading and trailing edges. The purpose of these wheels is to keep the dolly constantly raised above the ground, even if it is very uneven and “bumpy” terrain.
The Snapper ZT18533 Zero Turn Mower has the option of headlights that will allow you to operate it even when it is dark. To deal with grass clippings the ZT 18533 has 2 different options besides discharging them onto the grass. You can shred them or use a double bag collector to collect them instead. The other zero-turn mower in the Snapper 150Z series is a bit more powerful. It’s the Snapper ZT2142 lawn mower.
