Massey Ferguson 1010

Review

The Massey Ferguson 1010 is a small compact agricultural tractor designed and manufactured by MF. It was manufactured for 12 years, from 1982 to 1994. As the production time was so long, many variants emerged. Among them include Massey Ferguson 1010-2, a 2-RM tractor and gear transmission, Massey Ferguson 1010-4, a 4-RM tractor and gear transmission, Massey Ferguson 1010H-2, a 2 RM tractorWith hydrostatic transmission and Massey Ferguson 1010H-4, a 4 RM tractor with hydrostatic transmission box.

All these tractors came with a Toyosha diesel engine. It is a 3-cylinder and 0. 9 liter engine that produces 16 hp. The transmission that comes with Massey Ferguson 1010 was one of 2 options. The MF1010-H models come with a hydrostatic transmission (hence the “H”) that provides the tractor infinite forward and infinite speeds also in reverse. Instead of using a change lever in these tractors with hydrostatic transmission, it is enough to step on the pedals a little stronger to accelerate or release them to reduce speed. Normal MF 1010 models come with a transmission that provides 6 marches forward and 2 in reverse.

The Massey Ferguson 1010 engine is based on a chassis to choose between a 4 × 2wd chassis or a 4 × 4 mfwd 4 × 4 chassis. The tractor has a category 1, 3-point hook that has a reasonable rear lift capacity given its size. Unlike many ancient Massey Ferguson tractors, the MF 1010 includes standard an antivuelco bar (Rops) to protect the operator in case of overturn. The total weight of MF 1010 is 907 kg (2000 lbs) when sent, but obviously this weight can vary depending on the type of transmission that is installed and the chassis used, as well as the use or not of implements or ballast.
