John Deere 3010

Review

The John Deere 3130 is another very dear tractor of John Deere manufactured in the sixties from 1961 for only 2 years until the cessation of production in 1963. He was part of the series of tractors “new generation” and more than 43, 000 came outFrom its production line in Waterloo, Iowa. Like almost all other popular models of John Deere of this era, the JD 3130 was available in different variants: a model for orchards, more stylized than others, which allowed to approach the treesmore than it would have been possible with a normal JD 3130. But there was also a version for crops in row and another utilitarian.

The John Deere 3130 allowed to choose between 3 different engines: a 4-cylinder John Deere gasoline engine, 3. 3 liters and liquid cooling. A 4-cylinder and 3. 3-liter John Deere liquefied gas engine. Or a 4-cylinder and 4. 2-liter liqui d-cooled John Deere diesel engine. All of them transmit the power through a Syncro-ngege transmission, partially synchronized, which provides a maximum speed of 14. 5 mph. It has 8 marches forward and 3 in reverse. The maximum available power of any engine is 59. 4 hp.

The John Deere 3130 has a hitch of 3 points of category 2 that allows to join numerous implements to the rear of the tractor and activate them using the TDF. The fuel tank that comes standard with the tractor has a capacity of 109. 8 liters (29 US gallons). It is a reasonably heavy tractor and weighs 2948 kg, which means that when this tractor left the production line, it was classified as a medium-large-size tractor. Today there are still many John Deere 3010 in existence and operational thanks mainly to the strong network of tractor enthusiasts who possess and maintain them.
