John Deere 2400

Review

The Tractor John Deere 2400 belongs to the “2000 series” of tractors that first appeared in the 1990s. This “2000 series” should not be confused with the 2000 tractor series, much more recent, which includes the John Deere 2305 and John Deere 2520 tractors. The JD 2400 is a reasonably light machine, which weighs 1202 kg. The tractor is built on a 4×2 2WD or 4×4 MFWD 4WD chassis. If you buy the tractor with 4×4 chassis, you will pay a little more and also weigh a little more. The tractor also has the option of coming with an open or cabin driving position.

Tractor John Deere 2400 was designed by John Deere but, unlike practically all other JD tractors, was not built by JD. All tractor production took place in Brno, in the Czech Republic. The manufacturer who built it is called Zetor. The engine they put in the tractor is a turbocharged diesel. It is a 4-cylinder engine that has a total displacement of 3. 9 liters. The engine works at 2200 rpm and has a maximum power of 81 hp. As in the rest of the 2000 series tractors, the JD 2400 has a gearbox that provides 10 marches forward but only 2 for reverse.

The rear hitch of the Tractor John Deere 2400 is category 2, which allows you to work with a wide range of implements. The implements can take power of an independent rear TDF that works at 540 rpm. The JD 2400 tractor is a practical machine to have on its farm (if it is a small farm), since it is very versatile and capable of performing a series of different works.
