Toro Titan Z4800

Review

The Toro Titan Z4800 zero-turn mower comes with a 48-inch deck (I hope that’s obvious from the name of the mower!). This cutting deck houses 3 blades. They are made from 1/4″ thick steel that has been heat treated for long life. The mower deck can be lowered as low as 1. 5 inches above the ground and as high as 4. 5 inches above the ground. A spring-assisted foot lever is used for this. The blades are belt driven by an electric PTO. To deal with grass clippings, you have the option of a mulching kit to turn them into nutritious mulch, or alternatively you can purchase a bagger to collect them.

The engine that powers this mower deck on the Toro Titan Z4800 is a two-cylinder Briggs & Stratton model. This engine produces 22 hp. It has a number of features that help extend its lifespan. These include overhead valves and a full pressure lubrication system. The engine takes gasoline from a tank that can hold up to 15. 1 liters. The Titan Z 4800’s engine transfers power from the engine to the wheels via a dual hydrostatic transmission. Power to the wheels is controlled by dual levers in front of the operator. These levers are also used to control the direction of the mower.

The front wheels of the Toro Titan Z4800 are quite small as they don’t support a lot of weight. Each measures 10×4 (10 inches in diameter, 4 inches wide). The rear wheels that carry most of the Z 4800’s weight each measure 20×9 (20-inch diameter, 9-inch wide). The rear wheels have a thread of grass, while the front ones are bald. Models similar to this are the Toro Titan ZX4800 and the Toro Titan ZX5000 zero-turn mowers.
